Hi my name is Rob Amon and with my wife Lisa and family we run a very Professional Fly Fishing Guide business out of Murupara. We are only minutes away from the famous Rangitaiki and Whirinaki rivers.
This area is very well suited to all fishermen and hunters, women and families from the novice to the expert to the experience, young and old. When you come fishing with me you will get the opportunity to catch a good number of hard fighting fish both Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. The real fish size is on average 2lb to 5lb but every year Trophy trout in excess of 10lb are landed here. A lot of our fishing is done from a raft (drift boat) which can be an adventure of its own. Fishing from a raft puts you into lots of fishing spots that otherwise cannot be accessed.
